Yesterday...

So yesterday was July 4 - and in all the chaos and fun I forgot the reason that July 4 is such an incredible holiday, not only for our nation, but for me... July 4, 1996 was the day I gave my life to the Lord and began the amazing journey to where I am today! I still remember that feeling of finally letting go and choosing to trust... it was like a huge burden was just lifted off of my back. I can't imagine life without this hope I have! And how great is it that July 4 is the day I can celebrate my freedom as an American AND my freedom as a child of God?! So sweet!
